WEST-AIRCOMM IN THE COMMUNITY
Recently West-Aircomm presented 26 students of Aliquippa School District with gift cards in recognition of their performance of levels of above proficient in both reading and math on their PSSA tests. Below are the students along with CEO Ray Brunner and Aliquippa Branch Manager Joyce Jumper. West-Aircomm will also be announcing other scholarship winners as well as other community activities to come!
AARRGHH MATEY...PIRATE PETE ARRIVES AT WEST-AIRCOMM
 West-Aircomm has a new club for kids up to age 12...Pirate Pete Kids Club! Our mascot is Pirate Pete and his parrot Penny and they are here to guide the kids through adventures in savings! The Pirate Pete kids club teaches kids to save in a fun way, with each account you get a membership card, a treasure chest bank to save the loot, and a rewards program. West-Aircomm, through a recent partnership with Housing Opportunities of Beaver county, is now offering a full range of mortgage services to first time home buyers! This program is through the Beaver County First Time Homebuyer Program and will offer first time home buyers a number of services to ease the home buying process. Internet/E-mail Fraud Alert
Recently, there have been multiple e-mail fraud attempts, known as "Phishing", that were initiated via e-mail that have been sent to some West-Aircomm members as well as the general public that appeared to be from the NCUA. This false e-mail asked the recipient to click on a link to verify their credit union account registration. If the recipient proceeded to do so, the link directed them to a false website and asked them for account specific information, pin number and other personal information.
The NCUA does not ask this information from West-Aircomm members. Anyone who receives an e-mail of this nature should consider it to be fraudulent and should not follow any of the instructions listed in the e-mail.
